Jo Ann Howa is the Owner and Principal Designer of Natural Instincts Interior Design. She has been in the design business since 1990 overseeing projects in Utah, California, Florida, and Hawaii.
She is an award winning Designer and has over 20 years experience in residential and hospitality design. Her love of skiing brought her to Park City, where she established an upscale interior design and home furnishings showrooms, known as Natural Instincts. Her designs cater to the luxury mountain home design clientele.
Jo Ann is an expert in managing interior design projects and resourcing one of a kind pieces. She has an incredible flair for combining beauty with functionality, and her attention to detail is unrivaled.

Melissa Matherly has been with Natural Instincts since 2012 and is our Lead Senior Designer.
With experience in residential, commercial and hospitality design, Melissa has a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from BYU-Idaho and completed internships at Tandem Design and Ankrom Moisan Architects.
Melissa excels in AutoCad, Photoshop and Sketch Up and can “draw like the wind” allowing our clients to visualize the final outcome of their project. She is also a master with Interior finishes and combinations that are both unique and timeless.
Jaime Gailey came on board with Natural Instincts in 2012 and is our Office Manager
She has over 15 years experience in Accounting and Office Management directly related to construction trades.
Jaime oversees the day to day operations of the company including all purchasing, receiving and invoicing. Her excellent management skills contribute to the smooth operation of our projects.
Kaiti Guthrie was welcomed to the Natural Instincts team in April 2019. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Brigham Young University - Idaho, which she obtained in 2012.
She developed her passion for design as a young girl, pushing furniture around her room and has brought that passion into her hands-on experience. Kaiti completed an internship doing hotel design at Kirkpatrick & Associates in Albuquerque in 2011 and has since enjoyed working with high-end design and furniture.
As an Interior Design Assistant, she keeps busy drafting plans in AutoCAD and polishing up digital presentations, among a variety of other tasks. She loves to simplify and has a knack for organizing, which enhances her work both in the office and out.
